The army in Rome was organized into large groups called "legions". Each legion was divided into 10 "cohorts". When these legions go to war they have a specialist to organize their money and supplies, they also have engineers and craftsman. Serving in the army was more of a job than an honor. Roman soldiers used to wear shields, body armor, sandals, and a belt. For weapons, they used swords and spears, crossbows, battering ram, siege towers, and catapults. They had 3 Punic Wars with Carthage. The Roman army is well-known for their shielding move called the, "Tortoise".
