The religion of Romans was similar to the religion of Greeks. For the Romans if one did not respect the gods, that person would, "get what is coming to them." A common goddess named Vesta was honored by a cake being thrown in the fireplace. Since Romans didn't have doctors, they made a clay body part of which they wanted to heal, as an offering to the gods.
